Dental implants are the ultimate solution for anyone who’s suffering from damaged, decayed, or missing teeth. They provide an attractive way to fill the gaps in your smile, and they’re as durable as your natural teeth. Beyond their appearance and strength, dental implants are the only tooth-replacement option that reverses the adverse effects of tooth loss.
At Lasting Impressions Dental Care, Dr. Jeffery Platt can use dental implants to restore a single tooth, multiple teeth, or an entire arch. Furthermore, he can combine the advantages of dental implants with many different tooth-replacement treatments, including partial bridges and implant-supported dentures.
Dental implants are the gold standard of tooth-replacement options. They provide a permanent solution that only requires you care for them like your natural teeth—with routine brushing and flossing.
At Lasting Impressions Dental Care, we compose our implants of three parts: the fixture, the abutment, and the crown.
The first part of the implant that Dr. Platt will place is the fixture which acts as the root of your natural teeth, securing the implant in place. Dr. Platt will use the abutment to connect your stunning porcelain crown to the implant fixture.
Our crowns are custom-designed to match the shade of the rest of your teeth. Correctly matching the shade of your smile is essential because the crown is the only portion of the implant that anyone will see.
Your first step toward a beautiful new smile begins when you visit our office for your consultation with Dr. Platt. During this time, he’ll complete a thorough examination of your mouth, as well as discuss what you’d like to get out of treatment. This is an excellent time to ask any questions you have about dental implants or the process.
If Dr. Platt decides that dental implants are the ideal way to transform your smile, we can start the implant process.
First, he’ll surgically place the implant fixture in your jawbone. The implant fixture creates a stable foundation for the rest of your implant through a process called osseointegration—the fusion of bone and implant. After your mouth has had time to adjust, you’ll return to our office so Dr. Platt can place your beautiful porcelain crown.
Sometimes a patient needs one or more supplemental procedures to prepare for the implant process. Dr. Platt will let you know if he recommends any prior treatment during your consultation.
Speak with Dr. Platt today if you’re interested in restoring your missing teeth with attractive dental implants. He’ll do everything in his power to make sure you get the treatment that you deserve.
